Firefighters battle the Carter Springs brush fire south of Gardnerville, Nev., on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. The fire broke out at 12:30 p.m., originally threatening about five residences in the area. The fire has burned an estimated 150 acres acres and continues to move toward Devil Springs Flats, as well as threatening to jump Highway 395.
